We Talk: South Koreans see stable China-US ties as key to world peace

US President Donald Trump paid a state visit to China lately. During his visit, the two sides reached common understandings on a new vision of building a constructive China-US relationship of strategic stability and engaged in candid, in-depth, constructive and strategic communication on major issues concerning world peace and development, exploring a correct way for the two major countries to get along and reach a series of consensuses.

A CGTN stringer took to the streets of South Korea to hear local residents' views on the new positioning of China-US relations and their expectations for the future direction of the bilateral ties. A young interviewee, Nam Yong-bin, said the meeting sent a positive signal to the international community. University students Seo Yeo-won and Seok Min-woong pointed out that the stable development of China-US relations would surely inject new vitality into the economies, cultures, science and technology of countries around the world, including South Korea.
