A video of a wild giant panda carrying her cub gently in her mouth and walking through a snow-covered mountain area was spotted as scientists categorized the footage captured by infrared cameras.

The heartwarming scene happened in early spring in a national reserve in the Qinling area, Shaanxi Province.

It provides a rare and precious record of natural maternal behavior in the wild, including cub care and den relocation.
