China has decided to extend its visa-free policy for visitors from Russia until December 31, 2027, in order to facilitate people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, confirmed the extension on Wednesday in response to a question from a CMG reporter.
Russian citizens holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa for business, tourism, family visits, exchange visits or transit for stays up to 30 days, Guo said.
Russia announced later in the day that it will also extend the visa-free policy for Chinese citizens visiting Russia through 2027, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.
