The Gobi Desert's cutest morning roll call just dropped! In northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, a tiny fox cub peeked its fluffy head out of a den, then four siblings came tumbling right behind, like a fuzzy little riot squad. These red fox babies, a nationally protected species in China, spent the morning chasing and wrestling on sandy slopes, turning a quiet corner of the Gobi into their personal playground. Experts say the local fox population is growing thanks to Karamay's wetland restoration. More mice and hares mean happier fox families.
