By studying historical documents and murals in the Gaogouli ancient tombs, Moataz Abdellah found striking similarities in the themes and painting styles between the Gaogouli tomb murals and those of ancient Egypt. Standing before the Stele of Great King Haotaiwang and reading the historical records inscribed in over a thousand Chinese characters, he recognized the profound influence of Central Plains culture on the Gaogouli civilization. Ancient people depicted all facets of life through the murals and engraved the vicissitudes of time on stone steles. These precious historical remains build bridges for cultural exchanges, promoting mutual understanding, communication and friendly dialogue among civilizations worldwide.
