It has been one year since the Private Economy Promotion Law, China's first fundamental law dedicated to promoting the private sector, officially came into effect on May 20, 2025.

President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, has urged efforts to promote the healthy and high-quality development of the private sector on different occasions.
