High up on the plateau, Tashi Norbu, a young person from southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, is giving highland barley a new twist. Securing harvests at source, he is bridging the gap between heritage and market. Thanks to him, an age-old foodstuff is reaching beyond the plateau to pastures new.
