At 4,500 meters above sea level, every breath is hard-earned.

In Nagqu, one of the world's highest-altitude cities, a premature baby born at just six months, weighing less than 1,000 grams, is fighting to survive with the help of advanced neonatal care once unimaginable on the plateau.

Over the past decade, doctors from across China have brought new technologies, training, and hope to Xizang's highlands. Today, families no longer need to travel thousands of kilometers for critical care, as modern healthcare reaches even the most remote communities.

This is the story of resilience, transformation, and a new generation born into a changing Xizang.
