From May 18 to 21, the China Coast Guard hosted the Working Level Meeting of the 22nd Heads of Asian Coast Guard Agencies Meeting (HACGAM) in Quanzhou in east China's Fujian Province. Over 80 delegates from 16 member agencies, two international organizations and two observer agencies attended the meeting.
Zhang Jianzhong, head of the law enforcement department of the China Coast Guard, said the meeting forged a consensus on the importance of strengthening multilateral cooperation on maritime law enforcement. CGTN spoke to delegates from Bahrain, Malaysia and Thailand on how maritime cooperation could mitigate shared challenges.
