Founded in 1951, Changdu Experimental Primary School in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region was the first modern public primary school established in the region, marking an important step in the development of modern education on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
Over the decades, the school has trained generations of local students while continuing to blend traditional culture with modern education. Today, classrooms are no longer limited to textbooks alone – students can be seen dancing together on the playground, exploring science and technology, and taking part in a wide range of creative activities.
From its early beginnings to today's vibrant campus life, the school reflects the continuing development of education in Xizang. (Photo credit: CGTN's Qu Bo)
