China on May 22 officially launched the "Qiaoyuan," a new-generation deep-sea survey vessel and the country's largest ship of its kind.

The vessel is 76.36 meters long with a displacement of 2,537 tonnes, and can operate independently for more than 60 days. Featuring a twin-hull design, it can maintain stable operations in rough seas and conduct high-precision offshore drilling with a sampling success rate of over 90 percent.
