The GDP of Xizang Autonomous Region surpassed 300 billion yuan ($42.5 billion) in 2025, growing 7% year on year and outperforming China's national growth rate.
Per capita disposable income of residents reached 33,600 yuan, up 7.2% from the previous year.
Tourism also maintained strong momentum, with the region receiving 70.7 million domestic and overseas tourist visits in 2025 and generating 81.7 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
Meanwhile, ecological protection efforts continued to advance, including nearly 99,000 hectares of afforestation and 345,000 hectares of grassland restoration completed last year.
