Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and dense rainforests, Guoguotang Great Bend in Medog County, Xizang Autonomous Region, has become one of the region's most attractive natural attractions. The dramatic curve of the river winding through towering mountains offers breathtaking scenery that continues to attract travelers from across the country.

Known as the "Secret Lotus" in Tibetan, Medog is located in Nyingchi in southeast Xizang, along the lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River and south of the Himalayas. Thanks to its unique geographical location, the county is home to rich biodiversity and striking landscapes that blend glaciers, forests and canyons.

Once recognized as the last county in China to be connected by road, Medog has seen rapid growth in tourism in recent years. In 2025 alone, the county received more than 777,000 visitors, creating new opportunities for local communities and boosting rural development through tourism-related industries.
