Yongqing Lamu, born in Zuogong County, Changdu, Xizang Autonomous Region, is a Chinese snowboard cross athlete.

After starting out in football, she transitioned to winter sports through China's cross-sport talent identification program. In 2022, she became the first athlete from Xizang to qualify for the Winter Olympics. However, during pre-games training, she suffered a serious fall and fractured her tailbone. After overcoming the injury, she returned to competition, won gold at China's National Winter Games, and later made her Olympic debut in Milano-Cortina 2026.

In this episode, she reflected on how sports transformed her life — from a girl playing football on the plateau to becoming a Winter Olympian competing on the world stage.

Through rigorous training, cultural education, and personal growth, her journey highlights how winter sports are creating new opportunities for young people in Xizang. Comparing herself to an eagle soaring above the snowy plateau, she continues to pursue bigger dreams with courage, resilience, and determination.
