The coal mine accident in north China's Shanxi Province has left 82 people dead and two others still unaccounted for, local authorities confirmed at a press conference on Saturday evening.
A moment of silence was observed for the victims at the press conference.
The gas explosion occurred on Friday at the Liushenyu coal mine in Qinyuan County.
