Rescue operations are underway as 82 people have died in a coal mine blast in north China's Shanxi Province, according to local authorities on Saturday.
President Xi Jinping made important instructions earlier in the day, urging all-out rescue of the missing and treatment of the injured.
The gas explosion occurred at 7:29 p.m. on Friday at the Liushenyu coal mine in Qinyuan County.
