During Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent state visit to China, the two countries' heads of state engaged in strategic communication on a series of major issues and reached a new important consensus on advancing the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era.

A CGTN stringer asked Muscovites what they thought of the visit's outcomes. Danila, one resident, said the smooth extension of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation will help boost economic development and deepen bilateral cooperation. Another resident, Daniel, pointed to people-to-people and cultural exchanges as an area that would benefit. Asked about their hopes for the future, many said they expected more trade, deeper cultural ties, and easier travel between the two countries.
