Bomi County in the city of Nyningchi is a key corridor linking the city of Chamdo with central Xizang. It played an important role during Xizang's peaceful liberation and the subsequent efforts to defend peace. A Soviet-style building still stands in Bomi today, bearing witness to countless moments of revolution and struggle. Over the past 70 years, life for the local people has been transformed as Bomi has developed its tourism and agriculture industries.
