The 2026 China (Jiangsu)-ROK Friendship Week has just concluded in the cities of Nanjing and Yancheng, in eastern China's Jiangsu Province. A series of activities spanned economic trade, cultural exchange, and communications. Notably, a business delegation of over 100 people from the Republic of Korea attended the Jiangsu-ROK Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange in Yancheng on May 20. 27 key cooperation projects were signed across sectors including new energy, next-generation information technology, and industrial ecology.
Jiangsu is China's largest province in terms of trade with the ROK and the top destination for ROK investment in China. In 2025, trade between them reached USD 86.33 billion. Yancheng is also home to the Yangtze River Delta's only state-level ROK cooperation park, bringing together nearly 6,000 enterprises, including well-known ROK companies such as Kia Motors, SK Group and Mobis.
