Every spring, black-necked cranes travel all the way from Lhasa, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, to Yanchiwan in northwest China's Gansu Province. They spend months there to breed and raise their young. This paradise for migratory birds is safeguarded by rangers, researchers and local herdsmen. These joint efforts have built a solid shield for wildlife protection.
