The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Wednesday announced the death of its newly-appointed military chief Mohammed Odeh.
In a press release, Hamas said Odeh was killed along with his wife and two of his sons in an Israeli bombing that targeted a residential building in Gaza City.
The Israeli military said earlier that the Hamas military leader was killed in a targeted attack on Tuesday night, just over a week after his predecessor, Izz al Din al-Haddad, was killed in an Israeli strike on a Gaza apartment block.
