Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on Friday said China strongly opposes the maritime delimitation talks launched by Japan and the Philippines concerning waters east of China's Taiwan island, saying the move seriously infringes on China's maritime rights and violates international law, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
