Distinctive Danxia terrain attracts visitors to Shaanxi
In Yulin City of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, the Wave Valley scenic area is known for its striking Danxia landforms. Covering about 44 square kilometers, the red sandstone surfaces are marked by long, wave-like patterns that stretch across the hills.
The layered rocks and winding lines give the landscape a unique look, drawing many visitors to hike and take in the scenery. In recent years, the site has become one of the better-known natural attractions of Shaanxi.
