International scholars gathered in Shanghai to reflect on the legacy of the Tokyo Trial. Established in 1946, the International Military Tribunal for the Far East later delivered verdicts against Japan's Class-A war criminals in 1948, holding them legally accountable for launching wars of aggression. Eighty years later, the trial is once again drawing attention.
