Amid the reeds of Altay in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, hundreds of egret families are busy raising newborn chicks. Egrets breed from March to July, and these little balls of fluff will be ready to fly the nest in just one month. Thanks to healthier habitats, more birds now come here to live and breed.
