Jiaxing Nanhu Airport launches its first international cargo flight

A B767-300F cargo aircraft taxied out from Jiaxing Nanhu Airport in East China’s Zhejiang Province on May 28, heading towards Dhaka Airport in Bangladesh. This marked the official launch of this airport’s first international cargo route.

The inaugural flight carried electronics, pharmaceutical products and textile and apparel goods from China’s Yangtze River Delta region. And the return flight is scheduled to bring back seafood from the Bay of Bengal. Air freight can significantly shorten the logistics cycle for foreign trade.

Companies in the Yangtze River Delta are now actively promoting the launch of additional direct flights between Jiaxing and cities in other countries, facilitating brands’ expansion into global markets. The airport will collaborate with multiple delivery companies to open 20 international cargo routes within the year, including 9 to Asia, 6 to Europe, and 5 to the Americas.
