The PLA Navy's hospital ship Silk Road Ark set sail from Zhanjiang City in south China's Guangdong Province on Sunday to provide medical services for personnel in the South China Sea. On its third mission since entering service in 2024, the vessel will offer consultations, check-ups, surgeries and traditional Chinese medicine to island-based troops, supported by a 70-member medical team and a naval cultural service unit.
