Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Sunday that Tehran will not agree to any deal with the United States until the rights of the Iranian people have been secured.

Speaking at the opening session of the third year of Iran's 12th parliament, Ghalibaf said Iranian negotiators do not trust the statements and promises made by their adversaries.

He said the only criterion for Iran is obtaining objective and tangible results, and that Iran will fulfill its commitments on that basis.

Ghalibaf added that Iran would not approve any agreement until the legitimate rights of the Iranian people are fully safeguarded.
