Adrien, a US national who calls himself a proud "Huangshan son-in-law," combined two iconic Huangshan delicacies, stinky mandarin fish and hairy tofu, with traditional Neapolitan pizza. The result is his one-of-a-kind "Double Hui Pizza," a delicious bridge between Chinese and Western culinary cultures.
CGTN's Yang Xinmeng visited Adrien's pizzeria in Huangshan. From buying fresh hairy tofu at the local market to kneading sourdough and working the wood-fired oven, she participated in the entire process of bringing this "Double Hui Pizza" to life. As they cooked, Adrien shared his deep personal bond with China. His hope is to introduce more people to Huizhou cuisine through his pizza, bringing everyone together to share stories and experience the magic of cross-cultural connection.
