Iran's negotiating team has suspended exchanges of messages with the United States through mediators following attacks on Lebanon, Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Monday. There has been no official confirmation from Tehran or Washington yet.
Earlier on the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said they had ordered the military to strike Beirut's southern suburbs, citing repeated Hezbollah violations of the Lebanon ceasefire.
In a social media post, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said the ceasefire between Iran and the US is "unequivocally a ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon," adding that "the US and Israel are responsible for the consequences of any violation."
