China has unveiled Jiaoping No.1 – the world's largest earth pressure balance shield machine for high-speed railway tunnels. The 3,500-tonne giant has a digging diameter of 14.57 meters and uses AI to monitor, adjust and fix faults during tunneling, tackling the most extreme underground conditions.
