Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper in Beijing on Tuesday.

The two sides also held the 11th China-UK strategic dialogue, a high-level regular dialogue mechanism established by the two governments in 2004.

Cooper is paying a visit to China from June 1 to 3. It follows UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's visit to China in January this year, constituting another high-level interaction aimed at advancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
