For nearly 300 years, a cargo of Chinese porcelain lay scattered on the seafloor off Norway: stacked bowls, goblets, textiles and even pieces of chandeliers, all swallowed by the cold North Sea.
Now, archaeologists have brought it back. The find, from an 18th-century shipwreck recently discovered, is being called unparalleled in the Nordic region.
