In Guangxi, a golden dragon stirs on the Yulong River in Yangshuo, Guilin only after dark. On festival nights and at weekends, over 50 bamboo rafts are linked end to end to create a 300-metre-long procession of tens of thousands of glowing lanterns, clustered together like dragon scales. Setting out from Yulong Bridge, the golden dragon usually slips through the ancient stone arch, circles Panlong Islet, and finally brings its head and tail together at a river bend. Come and be there for when the dragon appears.
