Iranian state TV on Monday released footage of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy patrolling the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran says the IRGC craft are tasked with guiding and directing the passage of vessels, as well as intercepting any ships that violate or ignore warnings.

Mohsen Rezaee, a military advisor to Iran's supreme leader, said in a post on social media on Monday that the patience of Iran's armed forces "has its limits." Rezaee reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz is under Iran's management.
