Recently, the 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue was held in Huangshan, east China's Anhui Province. Mayors from nine countries stepped out of the conference rooms and into tea gardens and workshops, immersing themselves in the tea culture of Huizhou – from picking to processing.

CGTN's Yang Xinmeng followed the mayors and documented the entire journey, from plucking tea leaves by hand to pan-firing them, and finally enjoying the tea together. Several mayors admitted that this tea-picking experience was novel and unforgettable, and they gained a deeper appreciation of Huangshan's unique approach to deeply integrating tourism experiences with local life.
