Kuwait reports injuries, suspends flights after Iranian drone attack

An ​Iranian drone ‌and ⁠missile attack struck Kuwait's ‌international ‌airport causing injuries as well as ‌flight suspensions and ⁠diversions on Wednesday, ‌Kuwait's state news agency reported.

The ​attack hit the T1 building at the international ⁠airport and flights ⁠were ⁠diverted ​to alternative ‌airports, the report said, ‌citing the ⁠General Civil Aviation ⁠Authority.

According to a statement by a spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, a number of drones targeted the passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport. 

The spokesperson attributed the strike to Iranian actions, reporting that the incident caused significant structural damage to the airport building and injured several individuals, who have since received medical care.
