China recently completed its first crewed transition flight of a passenger electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, successfully testing the homegrown VE25-100 in Zigong, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The flight marks a major breakthrough in advanced air mobility, as the aircraft smoothly switched between vertical takeoff and landing and fixed-wing cruising – one of the most challenging tests for passenger eVTOL aircraft.
