Cuban revolutionary leader Raul Castro made a public appearance in Havana on June 5.
President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel praised him as a symbol of bravery and dignity, declaring, "Raul is Cuba, and Cuba is inviolable." Diaz-Canel reaffirmed Cuba's desire for peace, stating it does not seek provocation or aggression.
Despite differences with the US, Cuba seeks reconciliation based on mutual respect, but will legally defend itself if attacked, he said.
