Iranian FM: I witnessed late supreme leader's martyrdom

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has revealed for the first time that he was sitting in the country's late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's office at the time of his assassination.

Araghchi added that he had returned from Geneva negotiations and went to Khamenei's office on February 28 to report rising war risks. The building came under attack, and Araghchi was inside.

On current leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Araghchi said he maintains full control but rarely appears in public for security reasons. Communication continues, and all state bodies operate under his directives, he added.
