A magnitude-7.9 earthquake struck the Philippines on Monday morning, with a focal depth of 40 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC). The reported death toll from the earthquake has increased to at least 32, with over 130 people injured and seven people still missing, local authorities said on Monday.

A video shared on social media by Mahayahay Elementary School shows the moment the quake struck, with parts of the school roof collapsing as children screamed and cried in panic. Separate footage shows severe damage to a shopping mall and an attached fast-food outlet.
