A 90-minute performance-style exhibition titled Tales of Railway Heritage Objects: A Journey into Xinjiang Railway, has recently made its debut in Urumqi. Organized jointly by the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the China State Railway Group, the event used storytelling, skits and rap to showcase artifacts like a 1950s ticket punch, a 1990 China-Soviet Union rail wrench and a plaque symbolising ethnic unity. The show traced seven decades of railway evolution in Xinjiang, from the growth of network to contributions from the Belt and Road Initiative.
