CGTN

As Thursday marks China Population Day, CGTN presents an infographic, highlighting the country's progress in high-quality development of population through three key dimensions of people's well-being: income, education and health.

The infographic reveals that China's per capita disposable income rose from 32,189 yuan in 2020 to 43,377 yuan ($6,085) in 2025, while the average schooling years of the working-age population (aged 16 to 59) increased from 10.8 to 11.3 years. Meanwhile, life expectancy in China climbed from 77.93 years to 79.25 years, remaining above the global average.
