Significant gaps still exist among people in different countries and regions in terms of access to safety, development outcomes, public services and fundamental rights. Against this backdrop, how to implement the Global Security Initiative and create a peaceful environment for the realization of human rights has become particularly important.
Anna Paula Peralta Reyes, a young Peruvian national, has been studying Chinese for 12 years, including at Jilin University in China. She shared her observations of life in China: whether in the northern or the southern part of China, she could travel with peace of mind and focus on her studies without constantly worrying about safety. From initially struggling with mobile payment to eventually stepping out with nothing but her phone, digitalization has brought tangible convenience to everyday life. She said the experience of studying in China has benefited her.
