The sound of explosions was again heard in Jask County in southern Iran early on Wednesday, according to several Iranian news agencies.

In an X post, an Axios reporter, citing a US official, said a second round of strikes in Iran took place targeting air defense and radar systems.

There has been no official confirmation from both sides.

US Central Command forces had earlier launched so-called "self-defense strikes" against Iran in response to the downing of a US Army Apache helicopter.
