Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on Thursday announced a new wave of strikes that destroyed 18 "important US targets" in retaliation for fresh US fire. Meanwhile, the US Central Command said it had carried out additional strikes against multiple Iranian targets in response to Tehran's "unwarranted and continued aggression."

Earlier on Thursday, clashes broke out between Iranian and US naval and air forces in the Gulf and the Gulf of Oman after Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters – the country's main military command – announced the full closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
