The main span of the Chongqi Rail-Road Yangtze River Bridge has been joined, becoming the world's longest-span cable-stayed bridge with both highway lanes and high-speed rail lines. Connecting Shanghai and Jiangsu Province, the bridge will slash travel time and boost economic integration in the Yangtze River Delta once it opens in late 2027.
