In an interview with CGTN at the 2026 Forum on Global Human Rights Governance on Thursday, Stephen Brawer, the chairman of the Belt and Road Institute in Sweden, shared his views on global human rights challenges. He pointed out that eradicating poverty and boosting global economic development are the fundamental prerequisites for realizing human rights.
Brawer also called for closer dialogue between Chinese and European civilizations, and highlighted the value of the Belt and Road Initiative in promoting common development worldwide.
