Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Friday met with Seah Kian Peng, speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, in Beijing.

Han said China and Singapore are each other's friendly neighbors and important cooperation partners.

China is ready to work with Singapore to implement the important common understandings reached by the leaders of the two countries, further strengthen strategic communication, increase mutual support, expand high-quality cooperation, promote people-to-people bonds, and strive for greater progress in the all-round high-quality and future-oriented partnership between them.

The two sides should enhance multilateral coordination, jointly advocate for an equal and orderly multipolar world as well as universal and inclusive economic globalization, and work toward a more just and equitable global governance system, he added.

Seah, for his part, said Singapore and China are good friends and neighbors, with extensive cooperation and fruitful outcomes across various fields.

Singapore greatly values its partnership with China and remains firmly committed to further deepening bilateral cooperation, he said.

Singapore firmly adheres to the one-China policy, he added.
