The world's largest LNG dual-fuel ro-ro vessel, the "Glovis Lighthouse," loaded with over 8,000 NEVs, set sail from Xiaomo International Logistics Port in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, to Europe on Friday, setting a new record for the number of NEVs exported by a single vessel in China.

From January to May this year, China's NEV exports reached 1.833 million units, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

The vessel had previously loaded more than 4,000 NEVs at the Shanghai Port. It took on an additional 3,000-plus vehicles at Xiaomo, bringing the total to over 8,000 units.

Measuring 230 meters in length and 40 meters in width, the Glovis Lighthouse features 14 decks of garage space and has a maximum capacity of 10,800 vehicles, twice that of a standard ro-ro ship.
